Is CBD Stronger Than Delta 8?
With all the new options in hemp derived products on the market, it is easy for our customers to feel overwhelmed and a bit confused. Our goal at STNR is to provide education on a vast variety of cannabinoid products to help you to make the right choice for your health and wellness needs.
A very common question is about the strengths of different types of CBD formulations and options. With the new Delta 8 products on the market, it is a good time to take a closer look at the difference between Delta 8 and CBD.
Delta 8 Basics
Delta 8 is a naturally occurring compound found in hemp plants. It is related to Delta 9, which is the THC component that creates the psychoactive effects in marijuana. Unlike Delta 9 THC, Delta 8 is completely legal under the 2018 Farm Bill and is made from approved forms of industrial hemp.
Like Delta 9 THC, Delta 8 will create a euphoric feeling that is often described as more of a relaxation effect. Some people like to call the sensation a body high as opposed to the high from THC. The effects are not as strong as THC, but they are noticeable.
CBD and Delta 8
CBD or cannabidiol and Delta 8 THC are both cannabinoids and occur naturally in plants from the cannabis family, including marijuana and hemp plants. However, there is a difference in the effects.
Delta 8 produces a stronger euphoric feeling and potentially offers more pain relief benefits with a smaller dosage. However, some people may find the effects of Delta 8 products too potent for use during the day or at work or if drug testing is a concern. Choosing CBD products with no THC content may be a better choice in these situations.
